Butternut Bags began with Carol, a devoted crafter and self-confessed bag lover, who couldn’t find storage that was both beautiful and practical, so she made her own. Each Butternut Bag is carefully designed to help crafters, students, teachers, travellers and business people stay organised while looking unique and stylish along the way. With thoughtful details and purposeful design, our bags keep your supplies tidy, accessible, and ready for creativity to flow.
Why Butternut Bags?
Carol has always had at least one English bulldog in her home since childhood. In fact, her very first birthday gift was a bulldog, which amusingly delayed her walking progress!
One of her more recent companions was named Sherlock, a red bulldog with notably poor posture. When he sat in a lump, he resembled a butternut. Carol has affectionately named her business after Sherlock.
